It’s important to inform me as soon as you are aware or think that you may be pregnant, as it’s a different treatment to support the growing baby and changes your body will experience. If there is a history of miscarriage it is advised to avoid reflexology until after 12 weeks.
Pregnancy Reflexology can be used from your first trimester onwards. (I'm qualified in fertility reflexology, therefore able to assist from conception.)
Studies have shown that starting reflexology by 32 weeks can reduce the need for induction by 70% as well a reduce labour time down to just 4 hours.
Pregnancy Reflexology treatments in the very late stages of pregnancy will help you to become deeply released and during the last few weeks of your pregnancy I can use powerful techniques to help stimulate the hormone Oxytocin that promotes labour and encourages the birthing process to start.
Priming for Labour
To get the maximum effect of "PRIMING for LABOUR" I recommend that you schedule an appointment 2 or 3 days before you are due, on your due date and then again 2 or 3 days past your due date.
During labour, Reflexology is a beneficial form of pain relief, reduces stress, helps with falling energy levels and often helps ensure a shorter labour.
